Physical Activity

What is Physical Activity? There are so many varying definitions of what exactly is physical activity. The Center for Disease Control and World Health Organization defines it as: “ any bodily movement produced by skeletal muscles that requires energy expenditure,” but what does that really mean?!?!

Basically to break it down. Just get up and get moving! Physical Activity can be anything from gardening to swimming to wood chopping to running!

We spend so many hours of our day sitting and very few moving. Think about all the hours you spend in front of a computer, in meetings, eating, driving to and from work, watching tv, reading emails. All those minutes adds up quickly.

Take a break from the mundane and go on a short walk. Even if you can only walk around your office for 5mins at time! Try to move a little more everyday, every little bit helps!
